The Ke'nekt Cooperative is a Black Liberated Third Space
where the Community Gathers to Exchange Ideas.
We are Mutual Aid Based Cooperative Space where where you can find a Hyperlocal Community Think Tank of Residents, Legacy Black Businesses, Creatives & Micro Start Ups, where Global Ideas are not only Explored in Theory, but Developed and Invested into by the very Community in which they Live.
Historically there has been a Direct Correlation between Increased Property Taxes with the arrival of A Coffee Shop, Murals and Bike Lanes.
The Ke’nekt Cooperative has all 3 of the above mentioned.
As we know Atlanta is the Capital of Income Inequality.
The Median Household Income for a Black family in Atlanta is $28,000, while the Median Household Income for White families is roughly $84,000. The average Black Owned Business in Atlanta is valued at $58,085 while the Average Value of a White Business is $658,264 .
In the Spirit of Solidarity Economics (where the Community has their Needs Met in a way that does not Exploit the Community or Harm the Community ), A portion of our Proceeds Each Quarter is Redistribute back into our Community .
We are Dedicated to Tackling Systemic Racism and Creating A more Equitable Future. We are currently Focusing on Dismantling Anti-Blackness in the Workplace, Advocating for A Four-Day Work Week, Emphasizing Rest and Mental Healing, and
Implementing Restorative Practices.
